We're thrilled to announce that Toon Boom is joining forces with Guru Studios in a innovative technology collaboration. Over the past three years, Guru has developed a number of custom modules for Harmony while working on hit series Ever After High. Under the agreement, the engineers of both R&D teams will work together to develop and incorporate innovative software features into Toon Boom Harmony.

"The custom tools we've been able to implement in Harmony have freed our artists and allowed them to focus their skills on strong posing, design and subtle facial acting," said Chris Fourney, Senior 2D Software Architect at Guru Studio.

"The goal of this partnership is to leverage Guru's expertise as Toon Boom continues to bring innovative technical developments to Harmony," said Michel Besner, President of Toon Boom. "Our mission as a technology creator is to develop software that will further meet the demands of an industry which is in constant evolution."

Guru Studios designs, develops, produces and distributes animated entertainment for kids and families around the world. Guru is currently in production with two Netflix Originals series developed in-house, Justin Time and True and the Rainbow Kingdom. Now in its third season, award-winning preschool show Justin Time will air on Family Jr. in Canada and launch globally in 130 countries in the summer of 2016. New show True and the Rainbow Kingdom, set to air on TVO in Canada, will be introduced in 2017.

Guru also has proven success as a production partner, having brought to life shows such as PAW Patrol with Spin Master and Nickelodeon, and Ever After High with Mattel Playground Productions. The studio is located in the premiere creative high-tech hub in downtown Toronto and employs over 300 people.
